A modern hostel with a nice breakfast in the heart of the trendiest neighborhood in Berat (the hostel is slightly above the google pin by a few houses I believe so keep walking- but it’s signed well). Amenities were modern and clean. I had the whole room to myself! There’s beautiful views out the window too! They’re well equipped with the bus times and are a 7-10 minute walk from the bus terminal. cash only. I’m glad I stayed here. Beware suitcase users!! the road up to the hostel - maybe 90 or so meters is very rocky and near impossible to drag suitcases up so I had to carry mine which was painful. I don’t know if there’s many places in Berat you can avoid this though as it’s like this all over if it’s not on the main road, and it’s not easy to know this without being to Berat. There’s no car access, only motorcycles. the price you pay to be in a UNESCO village 🤷🏽‍♀️

I have stayed at Helin’s Hostel a few times as I often visit Berat and I cannot recommend it enough!  The hostel has a wonderful blend of historic and modern styles with its cosy stone-wall kitchen/dining area and chic new bathrooms and bedrooms.  The beds are extremely comfortable, the rooms and common area are impeccably clean and the upstairs outdoor terrace never fails to attract good company from other guests in the evenings!  The staff have all been very welcoming and, above all, helpful in recommendations and advice during my stay, so I would recommend Helin’s Hostel to anyone new to Berat looking for a calm and friendly place to stay at a good price!

The facilities at the hostel are brand new and kept so clean! The staff give a lot of information about what to do and where to eat while in Berat. I even think it would be a good spot if you have to work remotely while traveling. Would recommend!
